I’m seeing claims by people who aren’t investigators or prosecutors that videos may have existed before.
Even if they existed before, it’s unclear they still exist or that authorities have them.
Their claims have some issues.
Sarah Ransome
According to hundreds of pages of documents disclosed on Monday, Ms Ransome said in emails that she had seen sex tapes in Epstein’s possession showing figures including Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew and Sir Richard Branson.
However, the New Yorker magazine reported in 2019 that Ms Ransome had admitted fabricating the claim.
But in an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, after the documents were released, Ms Ransome said she only walked back her claims because of threats to her family.
Their credibility is questionable.
It’s possible.
Virginia Roberts
Roberts went on in her affidavit on Friday to allege that authorities already hold evidence “that will support what I have been saying about Epstein and his associates”, including the video and photographic material. She said she did not understand why no action had been taken.
“I have asked the FBI to show me the video surveillance and other pictures of me that I believe they have in their possession,” she said. “They said that I would have to go to the prosecutors to get them. But the prosecutors will not share anything with me.”
She also claimed: “There are also many people who could confirm what I am saying. I hope that these people will come forward and tell the truth.”
Why does Roberts believe they exist or that authorities have them?
I don’t see Roberts claim to have seen them.
If the videos existed, could authorities have failed to confiscate them?
Could Roberts be wrong?
If authorities secretly had them, I’d be surprised credible sources hadn’t confidentially leaked that information to reporters.

“Numerous” might have been an overstatement, but there are definitely multiple.
Multiple is a number, maybe numerous.
