Too bad it’s fash on fash politics. Newsom is total garbage. Anti-trans, Anti-housing, Anti-transit, Pro-capital, Steve Bannon homie…

Just another less than worthless lib. The reason we have Trump.

Can we please have the necessary wealth redistribution that’s a requirement to fix the vast majority of problems?

No? We can watch the two most powerful men in the world talk like angry babies at each other?

    Ok…

Maybe next year, if we don’t boil alive

In this case, he’s an imperfect solution to the real problem, which is trump and his fascist cronies. Literally anyone who’s not down that road is better.

Is Gavin perfect? Fuck no. Not even a little.

But if it puts us in a better state than we are now, I’ll welcome it.

We need to get off this fucked up train the trump era nazis have sent us down before it gets even worse.

      And it will.

Is he actually helping though? Or just sucking up press oxygen and adding to his own brand? What is the actual benefit of this performance?

The thing that will stop Trump is widespread public resistance. Not likely Newsom’s tweets or whatever is going on right now.

I know Trans people less certain about the issues you claim are throwing them under the bus than you are. They think Newsom has been perfectly reasonable on Trans matters. So do I. And if you’re going to use that wedge issue as an excuse to succumb to authoritarianism…

Newsom is not that. He is a selfish ball of sleeze who does whatever he thinks will benefit him most in any given moment. He’s not much better than Trump.

They’re just expressing an opinion. No, need to villainize the entire left. We will waste more energy trying to rationalize politics with trans people then just letting them do their thing. Newsom is not a friend of the Trans community. Frankly, I know all too well from growing up, they dont have many allies. Its really sad too. I want to be there for them but if they won’t be there for me, now, when we need to pull the reigns in there’s nothing I can do to converge our two realities.

No one is going to rule the ashes. No one seems to want to plan the revolution. No one seems to understand that divided we fall.

I want trans people to have fulfilling lives. Is what we have now acceptable to trans people? Will the GOP get you there? Will societies clapse make a difference?

These arent questions for me to answer. So, what is it? Whats the grand plan? Does it seem rational that the trans community will lead the democrats policy when that policy is in place to win elections? Has the ground work been laid to make this possible?

Will you even hear me out?

Id like to take credit for it myself but its always been there available to anyone. Democrats just cannot believe the American people are this stupid they need to spell it out. Its a fine way to be in your interpersonal life but politics is too devoid of actual measured discourse you will only lose if you don’t play for keeps.

This is also why every democrat who isn’t spearheading something like Newsom is doing needs to go too. They are artifacts of a different age and the debasememt of society will only get worse. We need innovators and risk takers until a real treaty is signed.

That’s fine but even if we replace every DNC and none of the GOP we make zero progress. Cuomo was old and clearly mentally unwell, that’s why Mamdani is the new DNC candidate on the ballot.

I think it was the policies that Zohran was running on and the face to face canvasing he did, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a contributing factor.
