Popeyes specifically is more popular with black people…
I don’t know if this is true, but it should be more popular with everyone.
I’m lucky enough to have all 3 nearby.
Popeyes has the best fries, hands down. They should become the standard all other fries are measured against. Their chicken is the best IMHO, but not such a clear standout from Canes. Canes has the best dipping sauce, and that Texas toast is magical on its own. They make a decent cole-slaw too. IMHO their tenders are a little under-seasoned, but they’re very consistent with breading and texture. Bojangles is last on my list. I had them once and was not impressed enough with any aspect of the meal to warrant a second trip.
i also hear that it’s fried chicken as a whole that’s more popular, however I work at a grocery store and I haven’t seen that much of a ratio of black people buying fried chicken.
I do only work at one store, and don’t even work in the self checkout though, so my data is probably biased.
I will say however, our store has little fried chicken bites about the size of a popped popcorn and it’s mostly children who eat them.
Is the joke “haha fried chicken”? Reminds me of that Australian KFC ad
Not really. Popeyes specifically is more popular with black people, supposedly. Probably more of a location thing than anything else.
Personally I think Bojangles is better but it’s simple fact they’re both better than the genocidal crackers at Chick-fil-A and Cane’s.
Is Cane’s specifically linked to genocide? Idk but it feels like a safe assumption.

Isn’t fried chicken just tasty?
