I think the point of the reply there is that the person saying the F word is a renowned drag queen, and would probably have been called the same by many people. So it’s both ironic, and serves the purpose of calling someone who is probably very anti queer a queer word. Something they would hate. Especially if they actually secretly also are queer. I thought it was funny.
Kind of like a black person using the N word. Not a big deal. Funny if used in certain ways.
