    What? Are you an idiot? The USSR had its flaw but it did keep nationalisms at bay. Once it collapsed people became fascists again. What’s not to understand? Murikans were perfectly happy opening mc Donalds while Easterners were starving

      By the threat of killing you if you disagreed with the USSR’s directives. Plus those satellite countries were meant to provide a buffer to the USSR if another world war was triggered. Better to fight a war in someone else’s home rather than your own. A hard lesson learned from WW2.

      Putin is pretty much trying to re-establish that buffer while pillaging his neighbors of their wealth. It doesn’t seem to be working well for him.

        Those were pretty good directives. Just have a look at Germany. Not even 25 years after you ban the stasi they’re back to being Nazi.

        Some people just can’t help it, like the germans or all those british offshoot like the yanks
