when i saw the trump flag flying at my sister’s house; i turned around and left instead of staying with them during xmas like we planned.
i think it stung me more than it did them since i hadn’t seen them in five years and they think of me as the bleeding heart liberal flake so they don’t care whether or not they see me besides my siblings.
i’m resolved not to visit them anymore and hope it goes well for them and I; but it’s automatically not possible…
I’m a American living in the US and even I can only guess which date they meant. Everyone should just use the three letter month instead of the number when writing for other humans.
Presumably they are referring to the US election day, but I feel like that was hardly an unexpected facepalm result, considering how many political facepalm moments there were along the way leading up to it.
