      The sun hasn’t changed. We’ve just been spending decades altering the atmosphere to retain more heat. Now it’s like a boulder rolling down a hill, we gave it a push, and now that it’s rolling, getting it to even slow down is going to take a major effort.

        And the ocean has been an absolute champ at taking a bunch of that heat and hiding it away in the deep. But can’t really keep up any more. Which is fair.

        No thank you I’d rather the Sun just stop it with all this shining and heat and combustion. Just stop it and be cold. Can I order one ice planet please 🧊?

          ngl a part of me does kinda want an ice globe earth, living in that kind of environment is so… interesting

          like the people living on antarctic research stations, inside the station it’s just a slightly weird house but outside it’s so fucking cold that you have to consider that fuel might freeze…
