Alt text - two panel comic. First panel, some kind of baboon is in a gas station using an ATM. Second panel, the baboon is smiling and throwing up double gnarly hand gestures at seeing its account balance is 4 raspberries.
The description calling it double gnarly hand gestures is tops
Can someone explain the humor?
I don’t think it’s meant to be funny.
It is, however, pretty rad.
There were experiments a few years ago that attempted to see if some primates could learn the concept of money. A coin could be used in exchange for a piece of fruit. Some primates were able to understand that the coin represented fruit.
Those primates discovered prostitution soon after.
Petah, why is that baboon so happy about his raspberries?
I’d like to think that 1 raspberry is the equivalent to 5 or 10 bananas. With 1 banana being worth about $10 US, baboon is doing just fine.
I only have three raspberries, but they’re functioning as servers instead of providing profit for bankers who are bribing me off with a measly interesst rate.
I kinda think this would be better with bananas
