I recently went back and watched all the episodes. The general vibe I get from the show is that it challenges Hank and Peggy fairly often with a typical (for the time) conservative issue. They start with a stereotypical response to the situation, but by the end of the episode, they have learned to be more accepting of the world around them, without sacrificing their own way of life. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Recently watched the episode where Hank is a huge pain in the ass about some clouds in Bobby’s room and he and Peggy end up kicking each other in the shins… it’s less preachy and more down to earth with the characters problems and how they solve it. I enjoy it very much.
