NASA didn’t develop the pen at all. Fisher did. They just bought the pens from. Wiki says they bought the pens for less than 3 bucks a pop back then. Adjusted for inflation the pens are actually a couple bucks cheaper today than they were back then lol.

While a million bucks in the 60s wasn’t exactly cheap it certainly wasn’t some astronomical amount by any means. Certainly not when compared to what we actually spent getting the ISS built and sent up to space.

I mean people still spout the easily researchable lie that nasa spent millions developing a space pen and the Russian just used a pencil.

Once a lie has reached critical mass it’s incredibly difficult to correct.

For anyone just finding out the NASA space pen thing was a lie we did use a pen, but so did Russia and we everyone else. The pen did not cost millions for us to make or develop. You can buy one right now for like 20 bucks. They simply pressurize the ink cartridges with a little bit of nitrogen so the ink is forced out no matter the orientation. You just cannot have graphite dust floating around a bunch of sensitive electronics from the 70s.

I will only eat my pot stickers with balsamic vinegar and after I finish all the dumplings I have been known the drink the remaining oily vinegar that’s left over.

Much appreciated. It feels weird saying this but you can really tell this is 12 years ago EDM production. I’m glad I was able to rave back then, but man has techno/EDM come a long way since then haha.

I actually have YouTube music and the radio stations based on that song just come back as full on hard style or other EDM without the classical or orchestra side of it sadly. I have tried several searches for community playlists and none of them really have what I am looking for unfortunately.

Unless there is some way to search for community playlists that include a specific track that I don’t know about… That would be super handy.

It’s always really funny to me when games try and have NPCs talk about the main story or something. Like in every far cry game the first thing I do when given control is go and absolutely Max out my character and get all the unlocks and fast travel points I can before I start hitting stuff that’s locked behind main story progression. The whole time I’m running around and unlocking towers and guns you’ll get passing NPCs talking about the urgent thing that needs to happen right away.

Some devs are getting smarter about these things and only giving you a few side quests per main story quest finished so you have to progress through the main story to get all the powerful shit you want.

Well that’s the only character I know so.
