What’s the common thread behind (1) people getting pissed at immigrants taking their jobs, (2) people getting pissed at technology taking their jobs, (3) people not making enough money at their jobs to afford housing and healthcare, and (4) people having to work past their retirement age in order to survive?

The answer: People are focused on jobs when we should be focused on what happens if we don’t have jobs. If we just decided that we don’t need to work, either, and rebelled against the rich people who have tricked us into valuing our pointless jobs, we’d be more prepared for an inevitable future where it’s harder and harder to find a job.

I believe one of the reasons that families have less children now is that both parents have to work (for someone else). In the past one job was often enough to care for a whole family and sometimes even build a house.

Economic system change wouldnt fix America. You really want a communist state with trump and JD Vance as a vanguard party

Fun fact: economic system change ≠ communism.

There’s other options than laissez faire capitalist oligarchy and oppressive left-authoritarianism.

Other ideas exist outside of your self-imposed binary.
