The American empire still has some legs but this likely will be the date history remembers as the beginning of the end.

I would agree in terms of a single event. But I also think people really don’t realize how the fall of the USSR (and it’s decline) changed US foreign policy forever. It really allowed the US to spread out with its capitalist greed and let the imperial core decline to put profits in the hands of it’s ruling class.

It was this monopolar world that allowed capitalist greed and internal contradictions to be felt so strongly.

And, no matter what you think about China. They learned from the USSR and didn’t get involved like the USSR did in Afghanistan (arguably the turning point into it’s fall). They sat back and watch the US destroy itself while China just thrived internally.

It was certainly a turning point. But they could still have soldiered on for another 100 years or so without the Orange Baboon.

As long as politicians are bought by corporation like meta, Twitter and foreign entity like AIPAC, this country is doomed.

So, it didn’t come to pass when he died? But way after that? What kind of prophecy is that?

Also, What American empire? Mexican, Chilean, Brasilian? United States?

Assuming he meant the united States, So if Kamala was elected he would have returned as a zombie?

Did the Biden administration count? If so why were people running defense for a dead empire?

Do the empires only count if they are not dictatorships like the cuban one?

Given that an empire falling means a large if not all their population will suffer extremely and die horribly, why would this person want them to suffer that much?

Are we supposed to empathize with wanting millions of innocents to suffer?

    How does that even work?

Man you’re really doing a lot of work to support rich oligarchs who could give fuck all about you. America has never been anything but an empire. Sure; they impose their will through softer means like foreign aid tied to a in implicit expectation of allowing American corporations to consolidate a country’s resources and labor, but an empire nonetheless. I suggest going to a library sometime. Also, wishing for the suffering of people who celebrate your pain and see you as less than is not a crime
